Travis Manion Foundation
The Travis Manion Foundation is one of the many great organizations that will be participating in the 2016 Philadelphia Veterans Parade! The Travis Manion Foundation empowers veterans and survivors to develop character in the future generation of leaders. Travis Manion was killed by a sniper in Iraq in 2009 while pulling one of his Marines to safety, and before he went to Iraq for that second deployment, he was asked why he had to go back and he said “If Not Me, Then Who…” “Brothers Forever” is the book written by Travis’ father, Tom Manion, about Travis’ and his best friend’s service to the country. We have inspired more than 100,000 youth to live with character and serve their communities. More than 60,000 veterans and survivors have benefited from our programs, and more than 4,000 volunteers have been activated to serve across the country.
